Friday after work, Jordan and I both had socials to go to with our work buddies and didn't get together until 11pm on Friday night. By the time our socials were done, we were anxious as ever to see each other!
Saturday, we decided to venture up to the cities and check out what the cities had to offer.
Our first stop was an authentic Latin American Marketplace called Cooperativa Mercado Central where we bought some fresh Latin American pastries and some mini mangoes which we all fantastically delicious. We didn't know how much the pastries were, but now that we know, we will definitely have to buy more the next time we go there!
Our next stop was going to be the Science Museum since we have been wanting to go there for several weeks now, but once we got there the line of cars going into the parking lot was extremely long, perhaps 20-30 cars waiting to go in, so we decided that we will go back up another weekend.
We then stopped for lunch at White Castle, since Jordan had never been there before, and lunch was decent, but Jordan thinks that their burgers are over-hyped. During lunch, we decided to go to Linder's again and find the other Trader Joe's in Woodbury.
After that, we went to Linder's Garden Center where we bought some plants (see our post at our other blog). This is always a favorite store of ours!!
Next, we ventured over to Woodbury. We took Radio Drive exit off of 94 and ended up looking through several shopping centers, driving around and around, and we couldn't find the store. After stopping at the Guitar Center store (with Jordan drooling over the acoustic guitars) and a stop in Home Depot, we finally found an employee that told us that Trader Joe's was at the next exit off of 94! We finally made it there where we bought some Trader Joe's cornbread, some peach juice, crackers, some frozen orange chicken which we made for dinner, some cherry beer, and some sparkling sake!
It was a great day and we look forward to our next shopping spree up in the cities!
