January 20, we watched as the Packers lost their change at the Superbowl 2008 despite the cheese-head and mini-packer fan cheering them on! Soon the Patriots will play the Giants! A fun weekend but a Packer win would have made it even better!!
January 26, we took a mini road trip to Owatonna and Medford, MN. Our first stop was to the Medford Outlet mall (GAP outlet). We spent most of our time there. After shopping, we were hungry so we decided go back to Owatonna and find something to eat. We ate at Applebees, we thought "we're used to the Applebees in Rochester so let's eat there". Before they got there, Annah's body and muscles were feeling tired and achy (didn't think much of that). The food was not that great...Annah's hamburger bun was brown/gray and soggy. For dessert we split a Chocolate Mousse (very tasty). The last stop which Jordan was looking forward to the entire trip was a stop at Lowe's in Owatonna. We were surprised to find that they had a different variety of plants in their plant section compared to Rochester's Lowe's store. Jordan bought three new plants and Annah bought one (see our post at our Plant Crazy Blog). Meanwhile, Annah was feeling worse and worse. With their new plants in hand, they drove back to Austin where Annah proceeded to be sick for the next day with a fever and stomach flu. We were unable to go to the "Big Bad Voodoo Daddy" concert as planned on Sunday cause Annah was still not feeling 100%. Jordan was nice enough to stay and nurse Annah back to health!! He took very good care of her. She was very appreciative!
Plan for next weekend: Friday night concert at Orchestra Hall, shopping in the cities on Saturday and Sunday is the super bowl!!
